Ok I know absolutely nothing about most of this stuff, so excuse the possibly naiveity of my questions. I had a great idea for a web site. It will be a business site I guess but the revenue wont actually come from the clients rather than the sponsors and advertising etc...I tried to start building one myself and dont mind paying for a decent acc which will do everything I need it to, but I cant find one which seems to have it all and also which doesnt publish the damn thing before I finish Most of them publish everytime you save data. For this to be successful I will need to launch it properly and advertise before publishing it.What I need is someone who can do th web site design for me, the initial site, get all the codes right etc... designs forms which I CHOSE and do everything under my supervision the way I want it... Then after that I will update it and keep it together... does that mke sense? IS that possible?Also, I'm in Australia, should I chose someone local or does it not matter? I have no idea What would be a average price to expect to pay and do you have any reccommendations?Also how do we know the designers wont steal our ideas? sorry bout the dumb questions but I need to know My site will need a main page, forms in which people can verify themselves, and small profiles for each person which they can enter descriptions and personal info... AND NO its not a dating site What is it with people wanting to start dating site? I dnt get it... Anyways ANYTHING anyone can tell me would be fantastic.I know nothing so anything no matter how basic is appreciated.Thank you

ok this is my 3rd web design question in half an hour because I am confusing myself and going off on tangents ....Im going to be as direct and simple as possible.I need a site which will take user profiles, similar to how like a dating site does, except not a dating site People will need to verify themselves before entering infomation in their profile.People searching or browsing profiles will also need to verify themselves although they will have the option of wether or not they have a profile, where as the users wont.Their will be two catagories for people, people with profiles and people who browse the profiles... I cnt say much more but I promise it makes sense There will need to be also, something like yahoo answers has with different topics, so different catagories emerge and are chosen for different users....I know nothing about how to start, the info available is overwhelming and I dont want to stuff it up.How do u tell the dif btween simple html and hard?The reason I ask is the price difference.... I read that simple html is easy therefore costs less but incorprating things like flash are harder...Which would mine fall under?

I live in the Tri Cities, Washington area and I am looking for someone in my area who wants to partner with me on creating a unique fantasy sports website. I have the ideas and the capital but not the working knowledge of how to accomplish it. It would be a subscriber site and my projected target is a yearly fee of $49.95. I think it would take about a year to get up and running and I think shooting for 10,0000 subscribers is not unreasonable. I want a partner, someone who is invested in the success of this project. I would be willing to subsidize future earnings with a weekly or monthly salary if needed, but that would lower your ownership percentage. No capital would be required by you, only your working knowledge of creating the software and databases we would need, creating and maintaining the website and working through all logisitical issues.
