Editing web design templates from TemplateMonster.com?
I've purchased a web design template from templatemonster.com see design at the link below & am trying to get a quote for editing the page. I don't want the flash version, regular is fine & would need to change the photos & text content of the website.I have no knowledge of web design & I did give editing it a go myself, but I just won't be able to do it. I've been phoning around & many places say they can't do it, others are quoting me ridicilous figures. I am looking for a place, or person who can help with designing a website, or may have a fantastic web template that I can use for my website. It is a heavy metal web zine, and we were running last year as a german only site getting around 10,000 hits a month. We are now international with writers in the States, and UK, along with our 6 man team in Germany. I have the graphics, and headers, but unfortunately the time I don't have to design it.I am asking if someone can design one in HTML, and send me the templates. When to use a web design template?
So we're having a little debate at work, can you help? Some of us agree that it is OK to use a pre made template Flash, Dreamweaver, etc , and then make it our own. Some think that you must start from scratch on a design in order for it to truly be yours. What do you think? Is it cheating to go ahead & have a designed template, then modify it or do you think it's necessary to ALWAYS start from scratch?I got $$ riding on this one Thanks

I have registered already with a company and now I want to use a free template but every web site I go to wants you t host with them. I don't know how to write html.
How come when I upload a downloaded web design template, the website has no style when published?
When I previewed it on notepad it was perfect but when I published it, the background was white, the links were purple, and the font was black. In other words no style.I'm not familar with css. Also what is the directory? Thanks.I am using Bullet Proof FTP Client 2.45. I am uploading this to a domain I bought through GoDaddy.Do youe mean that I have to upload the file named " style" to public html ?
